Where have i been ?

I am on my school holidays (i get 6 weeks off) and lately i haven't been posting any blogs because on the first week i was hanging with family, the second week i had my mums birthday , third week i went shopping, forth week which is today i have been doing a lot homework and i had to read a book which it did take up most of my time and on the Tuesday the 6th of August 2013 i get back my standard grade results which here in Scotland is your exam results which you get through the post which is extremely nerve racking and scary. So if your getting your exam results back soon i wish you the best of luck. During the holidays i baked a Chinese sponge cake and soft peanut butter cookies, the recipe i used for the sponge cake was from eat now and cry later on YouTube and cook with April on YouTube which their recipes i tried were easy to follow along with and taste great. Check out my school supplies haul below this blog :)

School supplies 2013

So its the summer holidays and i go back to school soon and i have been school shopping for new supplies for the new school term. NOTE: all prices and place of the product where bought can be found at the bottom of the blog post

The first thing is a school bag and i usually go for a shoulder handbag but i find that the weight of my bag gets extremely heavy , i always get a sore shoulder with just the one strap because its doesn't evenly distribute the weight  and i can hardly fit my school folders in. So this year i decided to buy a back pack and it does fit in an a4 lever arch folder, a4 ring binder and a packed lunch box which these items are what takes up the most space in my bag so this year am glad they fit in.

So this is the front of the bag and it has a floral print with brown leather edging , there are two brown strings in the front are draw strings so you can pull them making the top part of the bag close and a magnetic closure in the 2 front pockets as well as the large top part.

This is the back of the bag which has floral straps with brown leather edging and you can adjust how long the straps are as well.

At school it is preferred that you wear black shoes and so i bought i pair of all black vans. I have tried on my vans because you have to break them in or you will end up with blisters and so far the vans are really comfy and have a really good sole on them.

The next thing i bought was a a4 lever arch folder which has stars and love hearts on the front and it also has a sealed glitter front which the glitter doesn't come off.

I bought a pencil case which has pretty little birds on it and has a vintage feel to it.

In the inside it has 3 separate pouch parts and is complete with pink lining.

To go in the pencil case i bought black and blue ink pens and highlighters .

Prices and Places

Bag : Accessorize £16 on sale
Vans: Schuh £45
A4 lever arch : Paper chase £4.00
Pencil case: Paper chase £6.00
Pens and highlighters: Morrisons price ?

Buys Of The Weekend

I finished my other skin care stuff and i wanted to try something new so i picked up some products from simple and i got the foaming cleanser (left), toner (middle) and cleansing lotion (right). I have used all three products but only once and so good so far. The foaming cleanser is very moisturizing and gentle to your face , i have a big spot on my face and i notice once i used the foaming cleanser the redness went down. The toner doesn't dry up your face which i am very thankful for because i have tried a toner before but it made my face really dry but this toner from simple hydrates your face as well as move the excess dirt away.  The cleansing lotion moisturizes the face as soon as you put it on and makes your face feel smooth and soft.

I bought all of these products from superdrug and i am not sponsored by them or anything and these are all of  my own opinions.

Foaming cleanser : £4.49 (buy 1 get 1 free)
Toner                    : £2.99 (NOT on special offer)
Cleansing lotion   : £2.99 (buy 1 get 1 free)

Buys of the week

As you can see by the title its buys of the week so i didn't purchase these all in one day. I bought 3 products from Makeup academy but i like to call it mua , i bought two palettes the top left one is undressed and the bottom left is undress me too , i read some reviews and the palettes have been compared to urban decay's naked palette 1 & 2 and the last thing i bought from mua is a mosaic blush in English rose. I bought i blusher from new york color (NYC) in west side wine. I also bought a lip butter from Nivea in raspberry rose , i was a bit spectacle of buying this as i don't like the smell of rose however you can't smell it and in fact the lip butter smells like fruitellas.

Prices: both mua palettes are £4 and the blusher £2.50 (mua products can be purchased from
superdrug or from the website MUA

The Nivea lip butter was £1.49 from body care

NYC blusher from superdrug £2.99

Simple Room Decors

2 simple room decors

I bought those really small elastic bands for your hair and it just came in a little plastic packet which wasn't really the best way to store them. I just reused a bottle that had bubble bath solution inside and i just rinsed it out and but the elastic bands inside. I also but a ribbon around the bottle as well and because the bottle is glass it gives an elegant feel to my room. So you don't need to go and buy some fancy expensive jar , you could just use what you have around the house. If you don't have a bubble bath bottle you could use a jam jar or a peanut butter jar and just rise it out and add a ribbon or beads around the outside.

I had a cork message board and i didn't find the cork part that attractive so i just added a piece of wall paper that i had that was spare and i also added 2 ribbon pieces to the side. By doing this it matched my room and also filled the space of the cream wall as i needed something to put there. You can put anything you want on to the cork board or just leave it blank , i did have a study plan on it but i took it down since i any have 1 exam left to do.
